Parentstop is a universal parent support service that works with other family support services in the county and provides one-to-one, telephone and group support to parents who need some help with any parenting challenge.
Whether it is bedtime routine, managing behaviour, setting boundaries, school concerns, communication breakdown, worries about teens, substance misuse - anything that concerns you right now then Parentstop can help.
We can listen while you talk it out, provide information on your specific parenting concern and advise you on the next steps to facing that challenge.
Parentstop is about giving parents a voice on their own situation and provides a safe, warm environment in which to take the opportunity to vocalise any parenting concerns. The Vision is that:
“…all children need a home in which, they can be parented creatively and well and all parents need support in the task of parenting in a skilful and creative fashion.”
Parentstop is promoting positive parenting by supporting and empowering parents (and other family members) to identify and improve their skills and abilities. Parentstop is supporting parents every step of the way.

what's happening at Parentstop.....
Parentstop is a free and confidential support service for parents based in Co Donegal offering a listening ear for whenever you are facing any parenting challenge. Parents come to Parentstop for one-to-one support on any parenting challenge they are facing at that time.
At Parentstop all parents and those in parenting roles are offered a safe place to talk about the parenting challenges and concerns and to explore ways to address these. Parents call about children of all ages. We know that ‘children don’t come with a handbook’ and it is ok and often necessary to ask for help. We’re here to help you when you need it - just drop into one of our three services located across Co Donegal or phone to chat or make an appointment.
